Quality

“GJM Contracts Ltd. has built a reputation for speed, efficiency and reliability in completing construction projects within client’s often tight time frames, within budget and with a heavy emphasis on Quality and Health and Safety Management”.

The company’s reputation is built on the Quality of the service it offers to it’s client. Thus we put a lot of resources into planning projects to ensure that the materials and sub contractors used will enhance the overall quality of the job.

Our partnership arrangement with our sub contractors helps to ensure that we learn from our mistakes and that the same mistakes are not made in the future. The principal aim of our Quality Plan is to improve our ability to get more things right first time; it sets out a systematic framework whereby potential problems can be identified and thus prevented from occurring.

We review our procedures on a regular basis in that unless you end up with a quality product at the end of the day then all the effort and resources expended are wasted.

As you have probably already noticed from the profile of projects completed to date the vast majority of our work is carried out around South East. The main reason for this is that most of our work is either negotiated with existing clients or as a result of a referral from one of the design teams or clients which we have worked with in the past.

The company puts a lot of effort and resources into recruiting the right staff and then training and inducting them so that they view themselves as company men or women as the case maybe rather than just workers.

This philosophy is also extended to our main sub contractors with whom we have developed a partnering arrangement over the years and they also attend any courses or seminars that are organised.

Basically the foundations must be right if you want to end up with a quality product at the end of the day. Therefore we invest a lot of time and effort at the start of the project, before any work even starts on site, examining all of the drawings and specifications and then planning the work in detail bearing in mind how each element must slot together.

We also get each of the sub contractors involved from the outset so everybody knows what they have to do and it isn’t a case of making do with whatever is available later on in the job because somebody hasn’t taken the time to order the necessary materials etc.

However rather than just accepting the lowest tenderer for a sub contract package we actually meet with the design team to discuss the proposed nomination. We then in turn meet with the proposed sub-contractor we discuss his experience, his current level of commitments and his ability to successfully complete the proposed project.

We trust that this gives you some insight into the importance we place on delivering a quality product, however please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further information in this regard.
